On July 26, 1945, the USS Indianapolis delivered the Hiroshima bomb to a Pacific island. Four days later, a Japanses sub sank the ship. 880 men went into shark-infested water and were not rescued for 5 days. The ship’s captain was blamed and court-martialed. 55 years later, Hunter Scott researched the Indy for a school history project and joined with survivors in trying to clear the captain’s name.
